BMW India launches the facelifted 7 Series and its electric i7 sibling on 11 September, refreshing the flagship pair against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
What has changed outside
The split LED headlight arrangement stays but is reworked, the kidney grille is slimmer and illuminated, and there are new bumpers front and rear. It is an evolution rather than a redesign, which is what most buyers in this segment ask for.
Inside
A 17.9-inch central touchscreen anchors the dashboard, joined by a 14.6-inch passenger display, a four-spoke steering wheel and BMW’s Panoramic Vision head-up projection across the base of the windscreen. Powered, reclining rear seats remain the reason most of these cars get bought.
Powertrains
The combustion 7 Series carries updated 3.0-litre engines with higher outputs. The i7 continues with a larger 112.4kWh battery, and the range-topping i7 M70 xDrive still makes 680hp and 1,100Nm.
Prices will be announced on launch day.
