Ather unveiled the Konarc at its Community Day on 31 August, with deliveries starting this month. It is the company’s first properly family-oriented scooter, built on a new EL platform rather than the 450 architecture.

- S 100 — 2.1kWh — ₹1 lakh
- S 125 — 2.7kWh — ₹1.22 lakh
- S 161 — 3.5kWh — ₹1.45 lakh
All prices are ex-showroom Bengaluru. Z-series variants with 125km and 161km packs are in development, along with a 200km model, and pricing for those has not been announced.
Range and performance
IDC-certified range matches the variant names — 100km, 125km and 161km. Ather also publishes TrueRange figures meant to reflect ordinary riding: 80km, 100km and 130km respectively. The PMSM motor makes 4kW on the S 100 and 4.7kW on the other two, with 16Nm across the range and a top speed capped at 70kph.
Charging
A 450W onboard charger is standard, with an optional 900W external unit taking combined capacity to 1.35kW. The S 100 does 0-80 per cent in four hours; the S 161 takes five hours 40 minutes on the standard charger.
Practicality
There is 31 litres of underseat storage, a USB Type-C port, reverse park assist, AutoHold and an electronic braking system. Z variants add MagicKey app-based unlocking, Google Maps and WhatsApp integration and over-the-air updates. Suspension travel is up at 90mm front and 100mm rear on a 1,352mm wheelbase, which is the clearest sign of what this scooter is for.
