Maruti Ertiga has been India’s favourite 7-seater. People who want a car for their big family pick the Ertiga without a second thought. Fuel-efficient engine, lucrative pricing and availability of CNG option make the Ertiga a car which ticks all the boxes. Talking about pricing, there is one affordable 7-seater, which could eat Ertiga’s sales once it enters the market. Let’s talk about this Maruti Ertiga rival in detail.
Maruti Ertiga Rival – Renault Triber Facelift

Renault showed the courage to launch an affordable 7-seater in the country against the Maruti Ertiga. The Triber had a lot of potential but facing the Ertiga is no easy feat. When first launched in 2019, the Triber gained a lot of popularity, especially because of its aggressive pricing. However, keeping the ball rolling became tough and slowly, the Triber lost its pace.
With that being said, Renault is working to make a strong comeback with the Triber, given the fact that it is the best-selling car in their current portfolio. Renault has been testing the facelift of the Triber in India and you will be delighted to know that it now has a launch date – 23rd July. This is the first time the Renault Triber is set to get a major update in six years!
Renault Triber Facelift – What’s New?

The recent spy shots of the Renault Triber have revealed a lot of new details. The facelift is set to come with redesigned headlamps with new LED DRLs, redesigned tail lamps, a new front grille, big central air intake, new fog lamps, new alloy wheels and new front & rear bumpers.
The facelift of this Maruti Ertiga rival is also expected to come with redesigned interiors. Slightly tweaked dashboard with new elements, new upholstery and new features are a few things that the facelift is expected to come with.

As much as everyone would love to see, the chances of Triber boasting a much powerful engine are slim. Renault is expected to continue with the 1.0-litre NA engine (71bhp & 96Nm of torque) which comes mated to a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. With that being said, it would be a great surprise if Renault loads the Triber facelift with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which powers the Kiger (99bhp & 160Nm of torque).
Maruti Ertiga rival – Pricing

As far as pricing of this Maruti Ertiga rival is concerned, we expect the Renault Triber facelift to start from somewhere around Rs 7.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). We will get to know the full pricing once the car is launched on 23rd July!
