Mahindra Might Be #2 But This Hyundai Still Beats It!

After 25 years of holding the second spot in the Indian market, thanks to its refined, feature-loaded and value for money cars, Hyundai had to give its spot to Mahindra in February this year. Mahindra has worked up its way with a portfolio of butch SUVs & futuristic EVs. However, even after surpassing Hyundai, there is one car which Mahindra is unable to beat. Let’s know more about the best Hyundai car.

Best Hyundai car – Who is it?

BEST HYUNDAI CAR Creta

One car from the Korean automaker which still beats Mahindra’s top-selling car is the very popular Hyundai Creta. Even though Mahindra sold 52,431 cars in April, 8570 cars more than Hyundai, Hyundai sold 459 units more of the Creta than Mahindra did of its top-selling car, the Scorpio.

The story was the same in March as well. While Mahindra sold 13,913 units of the Scorpio, Hyundai sold 18,058 units of the Creta alone. And you know what is even more interesting? Scorpio’s sales figures include the combined sales of Scorpio Classic & Scorpio N – this is 2 vs 1!

Why is Creta the best Hyundai car?

Hyundai Creta features

Hyundai Creta has been one of the most popular nameplates in the Indian automobile context. This SUV has consistently been the top-selling product for Hyundai. Modern design, multiple engine & transmission combinations, impressive cabin, long list of features and aggressive pricing, the Creta combines everything to offer itself as a great value for money option.

Apart from these reasons, Creta’s familiarity in its segment also plays a huge role. Looking at its current competitors, you will realise that Creta is the oldest nameplate in its segment. This has definitely helped the Creta in building trust among buyers.

With all of this said, even the Mahindra Scorpio is a very successful nameplate. First launched in 2002, the Scorpio has been representing what Mahindra truly stands for – capable SUVs, and Mahindra hasn’t forgotten its roots. The brand still sells the Scorpio Classic along with the modern Scorpio N for buyers who relate with Mahindra because of their butch SUVs.

It will be exciting to see if Mahindra is able to beat the Hyundai Creta with the Scorpio siblings!
