Last month in May 2025, Tata Motors launched the new Altroz Facelift in India. With a facelift, the hot hatchback received significant exterior & interior design changes. The feature list was also updated, however, everyone was sad to see no turbo petrol engine on option! On the other hand, the previously launched Altroz Racer is not selling in volumes as Tata Motors would have expected. Result? Well, India’s hottest hatch gets cheaper! India’s one of the hottest hatchbacks gets a massive discount for June 2025! Yes, the Tata Altroz Racer, which was launched between Rs 10.91 lakh & Rs 12.86 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) is now available with a crazy discount! Talking of which, the Tata Altroz Racer gets a discount of Rs 1.40 lakh for MY2024 models. On the other hand, models manufactured in 2025 get benefits of upto Rs 70,000! The Racer edition was launched in three variants – R1, R2 & R3. All three variants were available with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (118bhp & 170Nm) – mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Apart from the powerful engine, the Altroz Racer got exciting features like ventilated seats, something that is missing in the facelift model. Also, not to forget the fact that the Altroz is India’s only hatchback to get 5-star safety ratings.
What Else?
Even without the turbo-petrol engine, Altroz facelift still offers an excellent value-for-money package. In fact it still continues to offer a 1.5-litre diesel engine, alongside the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine. Interestingly, the petrol engine gets two automatic options – DCA & AMT! Other than that, the Altroz gets a major design upgrade! Upfront, it now gets LED headlamps & LED fog lamps on the new bumper. The side profile is unchanged, however, it now gets flush door handles as seen on Tata Curvv. The rear profile has also undergone a major design overhaul. It now looks modern with the new connected LED tail lamps!
Even the interior is completely redesigned for a fresher appeal. The dashboard design is all new and the seats get better under thigh support. The feature list has also been updated. The Altroz now comes with features like – 10.25-inch Touchscreen System, 10.25-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera, touch-based AC controls & a new 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo!
