The Indian market has seen a lot of bikes come and go. Many of them reached the pinnacles of popularity while many just disappeared without anyone really even noticing them. However, there are some bikes which still exist in the Indian market but their popularity has greatly been affected. Here are 5 popular bikes in 2025 which are struggling.
5. Bajaj Avenger 220

The Avenger once had a huge fanbase in the country. The cruiser-style bike was known for its comfortable riding stance, that too without hurting the average Indian’s pocket. However, this bike has seen its sales drop massively.
Talking about sales figures of April 2025, Bajaj sold only 17 units of the Avenger 220. Comparing this to the sales figures of April 2024, the cruiser has seen a drop of 96% from 400 units. Outdated design, along with a niche user base are probably the reasons for the downfall of this bike.
4. Popular bikes in 2025 – Kawasaki Ninja 300

The Ninja 300 was at one point Kawasaki’s top-selling bike in India. Kawasaki banked on the popularity of its global image and reaped its benefits. In 2014, Kawasaki sold around 700 units of the Ninja 300. Post localisation in 2018-19, Kawasaki sold 1160 units of the Ninja 300. However, the bike has since seen a drop in sales.
In April 2025, Kawasaki sold just 10 units of the Ninja 300. One interesting thing to note is, Kawasaki did manage to sell 126 units in March this year.
3. Popular bikes in 2025 – Hero Karizma

Well who doesn’t know Karizma. This one bike has been the inspiration behind many turning to biking and proudly calling themselves bikers. The bright yellow Karizma with Hrithik Roshan backing it, was the perfect definition of “aura”.
However, over the years, Karizma went through some updates which did not sit well with the audience and the bike had to be discontinued due to low sales.
In 2023, Hero decided to revive Karizma in a modern avatar. Hrithik Roshan was called again and the world expected Karizma to earn back its aura. The initial sales were impressive, however, Hero Karizma has not been able to sustain its charm. This is clearly reflected in its sales figures as Hero has failed to sell even one unit of this bike since December 2024 till date.
2. Honda CB300R

The CB300R was supposed to be a promising product when it was launched in the Indian market. Performance, refinement and an aggressive naked design is what made it popular amongst its buyers. However, the bike has over time faced an array of competitors which offer better value than the CB300R for lower price tags.
Moreover, concern of service network availability is another reason which could have led to its drop in popularity. Honda sold 0 units of the CB300R in April 2025 while only 1 unit was sold in March 2025.
1. Hero Glamour

The Glamour was once a popular name in its segment. Buyers from Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities found it to be a great value for money proposition. However, with the competition stiffening, the Glamour seems to have lost its “glamour”.
Hero sold 4941 units of the Glamour in April 2025, which is a massive 74% decline from April 2024 (18,747 units) and 54% decline from March 2025 (10,832). With entry of tough rivals like the TVS Raider & Honda SP125, the Glamour is definitely finding it hard to hold a solid ground.
